Man United & Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic
Manchester United fans may be forgiven for thinking that it’s Groundhog Day.
Back in January, the Red Devils were linked with a possible move for Fiorentina centre-half Nikola Milenkovic.
Those rumours are back today, as Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that Man United have spoken to the Viola this week about their Serbian centre-half.
Milenkovic, who joined Fiorentina from Partizan back in 2017, is under contract in Florence until 2022.
Man United’s Milenkovic enquiry
Di Marzio, posting an update on Wednesday night, told his readers that Man United made an enquiry about Milenkovic “two days ago”. Di Marzio added:
The Red Devils have already made an attempt for Milenkovic last January, but their €40 million bid wasn’t enough to meet Fiorentina’s demands of €50 million at the time.
Do Fiorentina still want 50 million euros for their 21-year-old defender?

Is Romelu Lukaku joining Inter Milan?
Di Marzio has commented on that possible transfer, too.
The Italian reporter has claimed that Inter Milan’s Piero Ausilio is flying to England for talks with Man United over Lukaku.

Sky Italy reporting Inter Milan to offer £63m to Manchester United for Romelu Lukaku. But it’s 2-year loan with obligation to buy. Instalments of £9m + £27m + £27m. Can’t see how it makes sense for United to wave goodbye to world-class striker for initial payment of only £9m
