Liverpool face Ajax in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening at 8 pm UK time.
Ahead of the game, Liverpool sit second in their Champions League group with their spot in the knockout round all but secured.
The Reds have nine points from four games with a +6 goal difference. Ajax, meanwhile, are third with three points and on a -4 goal difference.
But whilst qualification is likely secured, Liverpool will have their sights set on top spot. Jurgen Kloppβs side are three points behind Napoli with a seven worse goal difference. So, they need to win their last two games and hope Napoli drop points vs Rangers in order for them to take 1st place off the Italians.
Ahead of the clash, 101GreatGoals takes a look at Liverpoolβs team news.

Predicted Liverpool XI vs Ajax
Liverpool team news
Luis Diaz
Luis Diaz was a key figure in Liverpoolβs side for much of 2022.
This has left Liverpoolβs left-hand side rather thin on the ground, meaning more minutes for Fabio Carvalho seems likely.
Joel Matip
Like Diaz, Matip was injured in the 3-2 loss to Arsenal earlier in October.
Klopp has previously said that he hopes Matip can return for the final few games before the World Cup: βEverything is going well, but he needs a bit of time. I think with him, it will be tight until the World Cup break; hopefully, in the last two or three games, he might be in contention, but I donβt know yet.β
On Tuesday, Klopp also confirmed Matip remains sidelined ahead of Ajax.
Ibrahima Konate
Konate sustained a muscle issue in the 7-1 defeat Rangers, having previously been sidelined for the opening two months of the season.
However, he has returned to full training this week and is back in contention to be involved vs Ajax: βKonate is here and ready to play minutes, I would say. Could play the first minutes but it wouldnβt make too much sense,β Klopp said.
Diogo Jota
Diogo Jota was expected to fill in for Diaz on Liverpoolβs left flank whilst the South American was out.
However, Jota picked up a calf injury vs Manchester City and will now miss the World Cup.
Klopp said: βHe will miss the World Cup. [Itβs a] pretty serious injury in the calf muscle and now the recovery process starts. We can say that because he will not be in for a long time; we talk about months.β
Thiago
Thiago missed Liverpoolβs 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest with an ear infection.
And when speaking ahead of Ajax, Klopp confirmed the Spaniard remains out.
Darwin Nunez
Darwin Nunez missed out vs Forest due to a tight hamstring picked up vs West Ham. The striker is back in contention to feature vs Rangers though.
Naby Keita
Naby Keita has not played for Liverpool since the Community Shield defeat of Manchester City at the end of July.
Keita was ill before sustaining a muscle problem.
