Fitness updates on key members of both Liverpool and Chelsea's squads have been provided on Saturday evening, on the back of the FA Cup final.

First up comes the latest on Mohamed Salah.

Egyptian international Salah of course set pulses racing across the Liverpool fanbase earlier this evening, after limping out of the club's eventual Wembley triumph with what appeared to be a muscular injury.

Just two weeks out from the Champions League final, concerns, in turn, quickly spread regarding the former Roma standout's potential availability.

Speaking on the back of the action coming to a close in London, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Salah's fitness was put to boss Jurgen Klopp.

And the German went on to reveal his 'hope' that his side's top scorer will ultimately prove to 'be fine', albeit with Salah, upon initial examination, looking 'worse' than Virgil van Dijk, who also departed the exchanges prematurely.

Werner latest

Elsewhere, on the Chelsea side of things, an insight has been provided into the wellbeing of Timo Werner.

Versatile attacker Werner was expected to play at least some part in proceedings on Saturday, making his failure to even emerge from the bench across the full 120 minutes altogether baffling.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, though, Thomas Tuchel went on to reveal that, in fact, the 26-year-old was not available for selection.

This came after Werner picked up a hamstring issue as Chelsea's stars were put through their warm-up paces at Wembley.
