Argentinan radio are offering an alternative commentary for this evening’s Copa Libertadores final between River Plate and Boca Juniors.
A soothing version of the match will be played to avoid supporters with health problems suffering from heart attacks.
Such is the fierce nature of the Superclasico, that fans have been known to suffer from health scares during the match.
River Plate fan: “I don’t know how I’m going to make it until Saturday”
River Plate supporter Maria Fe Diaz has admitted she is unsure how she is going to make it to Saturday’s final due to the stress.
Her father once suffered a heart attack during a Superclasico.
Diaz told Reuters:
“Personally, I don’t like the River-Boca matches. They are too stressful for me.
“I didn’t want this match to happen. I don’t know how I’m going to make it until Saturday.”
To avoid incidents like this happening on Saturday, a calmer commentary will be broadcasted.
Boca Juniors manager: “We’re going to give our lives to win”
Boca Juniors’ manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto has further expressed the meaning of the derby.
The Boca coach claims his side are willing to put their lives on the line to win South American equivalent of the Champions League.
Saturday’s meeting is the first time in 58 years both sides face one another in Copa Libertadores final.
“We’re going to give our lives to win.
“For this jersey, we’re going to leave everything on the pitch.”
