Harry Kane responds to Bayern Munich links & catching Erling Haaland in Golden Boot race

Harry Kane has been speaking to the media ahead of Tottenham vs Frankfurt...

Harry Kane has enjoyed a strong start to the season with his form again earning him links to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Bayern Munich.

The 29-year-old has netted 8 times in 9 league appearances so far.

But despite his good start to the season, his form has been overshadowed by the ever-impressive Erling Haaland, who has 15 league goals to his name.

Ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Frankfurt, Kane has been addressing both links to Bayern Munich and the form of the Norwegian striker.

Kane: “All my focus is on Tottenham”

Kane has dismissed links to Bayern Munich claiming that he is fully committed to Tottenham.

The Spurs academy graduate has been enjoying his time back in the Champions League and working with Antonio Conte.

During the summer of 2021, Kane appeared desperate to leave, but now, he is more focused than ever to deliver success in north London.

Kane told the media: “I’m focused on Tottenham Hotspur and trying to do my best for a top, top club.

“All my focus is on Tottenham and trying to win with them.”

Kane: “People are talking about him and rightly so”

Meanwhile, the England captain has also been asked about Erling Haaland’s incredible start to the season.

Kane already trails the 22-year-old by seven goals in the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot.

But like with the question linking him to Bayern, he batted it away, insisting he is only focused on himself and helping Spurs.

He added: “I’m not someone who likes to think about other players or talk about them.

“He’s had a fantastic start to the season and I’m just looking to contribute to the team as much as I can.

“It’s going well in the Premier League and I’d like to score a few more in the Champions League.

“People are talking about him and rightly so.”
