Tottenham are about to “lock Antonio Conte down”, according to Italian journalist

Tottenham Hotspur look set to hand Antonio Conte a new contract...

Following a positive start to the new season, Tottenham Hotspur appear ready to discuss Antonio Conte’s future.

Spurs are 3rd in the Premier League and 2nd in their Champions League group with two home games remaining.

The Italian did an amazing job guiding them back into Europe’s top competition last season and with the new campaign off to a good start, a new contract is set to be offered.

“Tottenham are about to lock him down”

Tottenham are set to tie down Antonio Conte to a new contract, according to Massimo Brambati.

The Italian journalist hit out at Juventus for refusing to move for their former coach again.

He claims that Juve have now missed the boat with bringing back Conte to replace Allegri, with Tottenham expected to secure his long-term services.

Brambati told TMW Radio: “I would have focused and would still focus on Antonio Conte, to whom I would give the keys to Juve and also the market, to build a winning project in five years.

“Unfortunately, the most serious mistake of the Juventus club was not to bet, out of pride and for reasons of principle, on the Lecce coach.

“Tottenham are about to lock him down.

“In London, they have seen him working and are realizing who they have their hands on.”
