Harry Kane equals Cristiano Ronaldo & Chelsea legend in PL record books with strike vs Sheffield United
Spurs cruising
Jose Mourinho’s men are currently locked in action with the Blades at Selhurst Park.
The Lilywhites of course headed into proceedings in search of a bounce-back result, after stuttering to a 1-1 stalemate at home to Fulham on Wednesday.
This brought to an end a 3-game Tottenham win streak across all competitions, with Mourinho and co. having also missed the chance to climb back into the Premier League’s top-4.

As things stand, though, the north Londoners are well on their way to getting back on track.
Spurs currently lead Sheffield United by 2 goals to nil, courtesy of a pair of first-half strikes.
First, inside the opening 5 minutes, Heung-min Son’s set-piece delivery from the left was nodded home by surprise scorer Serge Aurier.
And this was followed shortly before the interval by an all-important 2nd for the visitors, courtesy of Harry Kane’s fine turn and finish from outside the area:

Kane climbing
As well as proving significant in guiding his side towards a much needed 3 points, meanwhile, as outlined above, Kane’s latest goal also marked a significant one for the English international from an individual standpoint.
As revealed by statisticians OptaJoe, Kane’s strike versus Sheffield United marked the 20th of his Premier League career from outside the box.
In turn, he has become just the 18th player in the division’s storied history to reach such a mark, whilst also equalling the tallies of legendary pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Gianfranco Zola:
