The player in question is Marquinhos, who joined Arsenal last summer from Sao Paulo.
The winger made six appearances for Arsenalβs senior side in the first half of the campaign before he was loaned out to Championship outfit, Norwich City.
Marquinhos went on to play 11 time for the Canaries, scoring one and assisting one in the process.
The 20-year-old has since linked up with Brazil for the under-20 World Cup.
Brazil faced off with Nigeria in a group game on Saturday. They came away with a 2-0 win on the day, with Marquinhos on the scoresheet.
That win meant that Brazil secured their passage into the knockout round despite a slow start to the campaign, which included a defeat to Italy.
After the match, Marquinhos posted on social mediaΒ and said: βQualified!
βVery happy for the teamβs great performance and for being able to help with a goal. Letβs go Brazil!β
Gabriel Martinelli replied to his compatriot and said: βBravo brotherβ.
After competing at the under-20 World Cup, Marquinhos will need to decide where he is playing his football next season as his chances of regular action at Arsenal look set to be limited.
