Foden insists Haaland has not changed Manchester City’s style

Phil Foden has been discussing Erling Haaland’s impact on the Manchester City team.

Haaland is currently in simply sensational form for Manchester City.

He has scored 17 and assisted three in just 11 league games this season, meaning he is just six goals away from matching the total of 2021/22′s Golden Boot winner.

Haaland is also the quickest player to reach three Premier League hat-tricks, doing so in just eight games.

Manchester City are now set to face Leicester on Saturday afternoon.

Haaland is missing for the game after picking up an issue in midweek vs Borussia Dortmund.

Ahead of the match, Phil Foden has stated that Haaland has not really changed the Sky Blues’ style:

“But now we can look for him more, knowing he can bully defenders and run in behind. It hasn’t changed a lot, but it has changed a little bit. He is important for the way we play now.

“He gives us something different to what we are used to in previous years. All we have to do is keep finding him and he has got great players around him that can find him in the penalty area where he is strong.”
