Everton team news and predicted XI vs Manchester United

All the latest team news from the Toffees camp ahead of their Old Trafford trip

Everton travel to Old Trafford hoping for a magical result to keep their great escape under Sean Dyche alive and kicking, but face a Red Devils side with lofty ambitions of their own.

A stunning strike from defender Michael Keane rescued a draw for the ten-man toffees at Goodison Park against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, but they still only sit outside the relegation zone on goal difference despite sitting 16th.

Such is the congested nature of the bottom half of the Premier League, however, that a win could take them as high as 13th should results go their way, even if they are likely to view this game as something of a free hit.

Here’s how we expect the Toffees to line up and the latest team news from Goodison Park.

Predicted XI

Team News

Everton are once again likely to be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the Englishman continues to battle injury, with a place on the bench the best bet for the striker.

‘He hasn’t trained with the group, but he’s back on the grass, so he’s making progress, which is good. No timescale and I don’t do that anyway, certainly when we are trying to get him back to full fitness or as close to’, Dyche explained last week.

They will also be without key midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, who will begin serving his three-game suspension after being sent off on the hour mark during their 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Goodison Park on Monday.

It means that Tom Davies may be drafted into central midfield for the trip to Old Trafford, with James Garner ineligible to face his parent side.

Elsewhere, Dyche has settled on a starting XI despite the return of the likes of Nathan Patterson, who will likely be a substitute once more.
