Premier League outfit Everton are ready to hand a new contract to Alex Iwobi, according to reports.
Former Arsenal man Iwobi has of course continued to prove his many doubters wrong over the course of the season to date.
Since being moved into a more central role in the middle of the park by Frank Lampard, Iwobi has looked completely rejuvenated, finally resembling a player worthy of the hefty sum forked out for his signature back in the summer of 2019.
Just this evening, Iwobi impressed once more, bagging the assist for Everton’s only goal en route to an eventual 1-0 win over West Ham United.
And, as alluded to above, such efforts look set to see the Nigerian international imminently rewarded by those in a position of power at Goodison Park.
As per ‘The Bobble’, viewed as highly reliable when it comes to all things on the blue half of Merseyside, ‘Everton are set to open talks with Alex Iwobi over a new contract’.
The 26-year-old’s current Toffees terms are due to expire in the summer of 2024.
