Crystal Palace secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers to progress in the FA Cup.
Goals from Daniel Munoz and Justin Devenny ensured the Eagles’ safe passage while Doncaster fought hard but were ultimately outclassed by their Premier League opponents.
The visitors started the match brightly, with Jean-Philippe Mateta striking the post early on in the 31st minute.
Palaceβs persistence paid off moments later when Munoz capitalised on a set-piece situation to fire home from close range, giving the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
Doncaster, determined to respond, saw Billy Sharp and Luke Molyneux both register efforts on goal, but they were denied by Palace goalkeeper Matt Turner.
The visitors continued to dominate possession in the second half, and their patience was rewarded in the 55th minute. Will Hughes played a through ball to Justin Devenny, who finished into the roof of the net to double the visitors’ advantage.

Doncaster had their opportunities, most notably through Owen Bailey and Jordan Gibson, but could find no way through.
As the game drew to a close, Palace managed the clock well, making late substitutions to see out the result. Romain Esse, who had been lively after coming on, had an attempt blocked, while Mateta went close to adding a third in stoppage time but dragged his shot wide.
Doncaster, despite their spirited display, were left to rue missed chances as they bowed out of the competition. Palace march on, while Rovers will take positives from a battling performance against top-tier opposition.
