Liverpool vs Chelsea
Liverpool take on Chelsea at Anfield in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
This is the first of back-to-back games between the sides.
Chelsea will host Liverpool in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Liverpool are top of the league with six wins from six games.
Chelsea are down in third after the Blues dropped two points against West Ham last weekend.
Dejan Lovren’s return & Fabinho’s 1st start
Ahead of tonight’s match, the Times have predicted how Liverpool may line-up against Chelsea.
Jurgen Klopp said in his pre-match press that he intends to field a strong side.
However the Times believe Liverpool’s XI will be heavily rotated from the usual Premier League XI.
Klopp has confirmed that Simon Mignolet will start in goal.
At the back, Dejan Lovren is being tipped to make his first start of the season after returning from injury.
Liverpool may also switch up their full-backs with Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne coming in.
In midfield, Fabinho is finally set to get his first start of the campaign.
While in the Reds attack, Daniel Sturridge may be asked to work in tandem with former Chelsea striker Dom Solanke.
Hudson-Odoi to start for Chelsea?
Maurizio Sarri is also likely to rotate his Chelsea side for the cup tie.
The Times are favouring 17-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi to start at Anfield in the Blues attack.
Alvaro Morata is also set to feature, as are fringe midfielders Cesc Fabregas, Victor Moses, Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley.
