Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has, on Friday, provided an update on the fitness of star frontman Erling Haaland.
Norwegian international Haaland, of course, has spent the last couple of weeks on the sidelines.
Owing to a groin injury suffered in the buildup to the international break, the 22-year-old was forced to sit out both his country’s latest pair of outings, and City’s meeting with Liverpool last weekend.
The Sky Blues, to their credit, did not miss a beat in Haaland’s absence, putting four past Liverpool to keep the pressure on Premier League table-toppers Arsenal.
This weekend, though, the Citizens, once more, will have a full attacking armory to choose from.
Speaking in a press conference on Friday, Pep Guardiola was asked for the latest on the wellbeing of his side’s runaway top scorer.
This comes as City prepare for a weekend showdown with relegation-battling Southampton.
And the club’s boss went on to reveal that Haaland will be available for selection from the off, having featured in first-team training on both Thursday and Friday.
