Chelsea open contract talks with Abraham & Tomori – Fabrizio Romano

Securing the future of Chelsea football club

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with both Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori to extend their current contracts until June 2024.

Abraham has been Chelsea’s most prominent success story this season.

After a loan spell at Aston Villa, Abraham returned to the Blues with hopes of becoming a first-team regular.

Now, after scoring an incredible seven goals in five Premier League games, he’s the undisputed number nine for Chelsea.

He’s not the only success story this season, either.

Both Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori have impressed during the start of the campaign.

The latter, who spent last season on loan with Derby under current boss Frank Lampard, has impressed in recent games, and scored a brilliant goal against Wolves last weekend.

Now, Abraham and Tomori are set to be rewarded for their hard work and impressive performances.

Chelsea open talks, players have ‘accepted to sign a new contract’

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have opened talks with the two youngsters over respective contract extensions.

It’s claimed that the Blues are looking to tie Abraham and Tomori down to deals which would expire in 2024.

Romano also claims that both players are happy to sign new deals.

‘The players have accepted to sign a new contract and now it’s time to find the total agreement with their agents about the wages.’

If both players keep performing the way that they have been doing, especially Abraham, Chelsea could have some top-class talent on their hands.
