Chelsea’s supporters have taken to social media in numbers on Sunday evening, to reveal their frustrations with one member of the club’s squad.
Mauricio Pochettino’s troops, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.
In the club’s Premier League season opener, Chelsea welcomed Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to Stamford Bridge, for a highly-anticipated clash.
And, late in proceedings in west London, the two sides remain deadlocked at a goal apiece.
This comes after Luis Diaz’s opener inside 20 minutes was cancelled out by way of a debut goal on the part of Axel Disasi:
Chelsea, to their credit, have held their own throughout the clash, despite a number of new faces having taken their place in Pochettino’s debut XI.
As alluded to above, though, amid a solid collective showing to date, one member of the Blues’ line-up has nevertheless been singled out for heavy criticism online.
The player in question? Raheem Sterling.
Amid claims that the former Manchester City man has been overly wasteful when in possession, Sterling has been targeted in ruthless fashion, with some members of the Stamford Bridge faithful having gone as far as to call for him to be moved on before the close of the summer transfer window:
