Brentford team news and predicted XI vs Brighton

Level on points with both Liverpool and weekend opponent Brighton, Brentford have a chance at European football next season for the first time in the club’s history as their continued journey under Thomas Frank turns heads across the Premier League

Brentford Team News

  • Out: Vitaly Janelt, Keane Lewis-Potter, Shandon Baptiste (suspension)
  • Doubt: Mads Roerslev

A critical clash with fellow European outside-shot Brighton highlights the return to action across the Premier League this weekend as two fantastic dark horse stories continue to write themselves when Brentford travels to the AMEX to clash with the Seagulls on Saturday.

Danish tactician Thomas Frank continues to prove that he is arguably one of the best managers anywhere in the top flight of English football at the head of a Brentford outfit that has made incremental gains since its promotion two seasons ago, and has a real chance to pull ahead of both Brighton and Liverpool looms large over the weekend program.

For Frank, the Bees boss thankfully has little in the way of added fitness concerns across the senior squad, with Vitaly Janelt and Keane Lewis-Potter the only players guaranteed to be left out on account of knee injuries for the pair. Mads Roerslev faces a late assessment and could feature on the bench but he remains a doubt, while Shandon Baptiste misses out via suspension.
