Manchester United vs Burnley

Manchester United to win – read more

Manchester United are back in action, welcoming Burnley to Old Trafford for a League Cup tie. With plenty of big clubs having already been knocked out, this is a huge opportunity for the Red Devils to make a deep run. Man United are expected to rotate and offer an opportunity to players who’ve seen less Premier League game time, and more of those not involved in the World Cup. Nevertheless, they have great squad depth and we expect them to progress here. Erik ten Hag’s team have won seven of their last nine home games, losing just once. Promotion chasing Burnley are also expected to rotate as they focus on bouncing straight back to the Premier League.

Celtic vs Livingston

Celtic Half time/Full time – read more

Scottish Champions and league-leaders Celtic are back in action after their late win away at Aberdeen on Saturday. This means they remain nine points clear of Rangers, and are expected to pick up an easy 3 points again here. Livingston have never won any of their 15 visits to Celtic Park. The clubs actually met just 7 weeks ago in the reverse fixture at the Tony Macaroni, with Celtic running out easy 3-0 winners, accumulating 75% possession. We expect a similar result at Parkhead.

Blackburn Rovers vs Nottingham Forest

Coventry City vs West Bromwich Albion

West Brom or draw

West Brom travel to Coventry hoping to continue their impressive form, thereby closing the gap on the play-off places. Not so long ago, West Brom were in a relegation battle, but,, having won 5 of their last 6 games, are rapidly climbing the table. Coventry meantime squandered a 3-0 lead at home to Swansea on Saturday, so that hangover will surely effect mentally here. We can’t see West Brom losing this Midlands derby.
