James Rodriguez & Bayern Munich
One of the biggest transfer this summer has been James Rodriguez’s switch from Real Madrid to Bayern Munich.
The Colombian star recently sealed his exit from the Santiago Bernabeu, agreeing a two-year loan deal with the Bavarians.
Bayern also secured the right to sign the playmaker on a permanent deal.
Munich will pay Real Madrid five millions euros a season for the loan of the South American, while the option to buy sets the price tag at 35.2 million euros.
Plays v Chelsea
Bayern were in action on Tuesday in a pre-season friendly as they beat Chelsea 3-2.
James didn’t manage to find the target, however he had several good opportunities to stick the ball in the back of the net.
Trolls Real Madrid
On Wednesday, fresh quotes from James have been posted by Sport Bild.
The Colombian has trolled Los Blancos, claiming that the Bavarians may be a bigger club than the Madridistas. He said:
Bayern Munich is just as big a club as Real Madrid, if not even bigger.
I always had a lot of respect for Bayern but when I was mulling over the move to Munich, I looked at the squad and thought: ‘There’s just as many stars here as at Real and the quality is exactly the same.’
Real Madrid, of course, won La Liga and the Champions League last season.
Real beat Bayern in the quarterfinals of the 2016-17 UCL, as Cristiano Ronaldo scored five goals in the two legs.
