Barcelona are set to complete their first summer deal in the form of adding Franck Kessie to their ranks as a free agent.
The Ivorian, currently plying his trade for AC Milan, is out of contract in June and is not expected to renew his deal at San Siro.
And, while Tottenham Hotspur were thought to be interested in bringing the midfield dynamo to north London, Barcelona have seemingly long been the favoured destination by the 25 year old.
Now, as per the generally reliable Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, a deal has been struck to bring Kessie to the Nou Camp in the summer.

He will soon be followed, if reports are to be believed, by Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, while Nasser Mazrouai and Cesar Azpilicueta could also join the club as free agents.
Andreas Christensen has made his choice and he will play for Barcelona, thereβs no doubt. Contract until June 2027. Matter of time. π΅π΄ #FCB

Barcelona’s rebuild nearly complete
From a club in crisis just 12 months ago, it has been quite a turnaround for Barcelona. Still incredibly financially hamstrung by their wage restraints (that they are currently 144 million euros over), they have nonetheless completely rebuilt their side.

Three free agent additions last summer, plus adding Aubameyang and Ferran Torres in January, has stood them in good stead going forwards, while a further 4 in the summer would further strengthen the side as they look to complete their turnaround under Xavi.
