Pedro’s Chelsea stint
Pedro made the switch to Chelsea in August of 2015 from Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona.
Chelsea are believed to have paid around £24m for the Spaniard’s services.
Pedro has since gone on to rack up 192 appearances across all competitions for the London outfit.
In those 192 ties, Pedro has scored 42 and assisted 26 for the Blues.
Pedro has also won a plethora of trophies during his stint in England, including the Premier League and Europa League.
Pedro to Villa?
However, despite his success with Chelsea, Pedro does look to be entering the twilight years of his career.
The former Barca standout is now 32 years of age, and will be 33 by the time next season kicks off.
Pedro is also out of contract with Chelsea in the summer, and given his diminished role so far this term, it is hard to see Chelsea offering Pedro a new deal.
Pedro has featured just four times in the Premier League so far this campaign, and has not completed 90 minutes since August.
Now, though, it looks as though Pedro could be on the move in the winter window.
The Telegraph have reported on Sunday that newly-promoted Aston Villa are interested in a January deal for Pedro.
The report from the Telegraph also states that Dean Smith is looking to bolster his attack in January, with a cut-price deal for Pedro a possibility:
Dean Smith, the Villa manager, will look to bolster his attack in January and a cut-price deal for Pedro may be possible, because his contract expires in seven months, when he can leave on a free transfer.
