An up-and-coming talent on the red half of north London has been included in Arsenal’s travelling party bound for Leeds on Sunday, according to reports.

Mikel Arteta’s troops, of course, are primed to return to action in less than 24 hours’ time.

In the knowledge that another three-point haul will see them guaranteed to maintain the club’s status as Premier League leaders, the Gunners will make the trip to Elland Road, for a showdown with Jesse Marsch’s Leeds.

There has already been positive news forthcoming from Arsenal’s camp when it comes to personnel, with Gabriel Jesus, after being labelled a major doubt to feature owing to a fitness issue suffered against Liverpool last weekend, spotted back amongst Arteta’s ranks bound for Yorkshire on Saturday.

And the Brazilian, as alluded to above, has been joined in the Gunners’ upcoming squad by a highly-regarded breakthrough Hale End talent.

The player in question? Khayon Edwards.

This marks the 19-year-old’s first-ever call-up for a Premier League fixture, after he was too afforded a place on the bench for the Gunners’ Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday.

It now remains to be seen whether Edwards’ dreams will be realised courtesy of a maiden appearance in England’s top-flight on Sunday afternoon.
