Arsenal wing duo Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have etched their respective names into the history books of the Premier League late on Friday night.
This comes after the pair combined for yet another fine goal.
The Gunners are of course currently locked in action at The Emirates, in a top versus bottom of the table clash with struggling Southampton.
Remarkably, however, inside the opening quarter of an hour in north London, it was the latter who had surged into a two-goal lead.
This came as star of the show Carlos Alcaraz first capitalised on a shocking Aaron Ramsdale error to slot home a fine opener, before laying on none other than Theo Walcott to double Southampton’s lead:

Arsenal, to their credit, though, did pull one back a short time later.
After the former drove to the end line, his ensuing pull back across the face of goal was superbly volleyed home by Martinelli:

And, as alluded to above, in the process, the Gunners duo made history.
As per statisticians Opta, Saka and Martinelli have joined Manchester United icons Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo as just the 2nd pair of teammates aged 21 or under to ‘both record 20+ goal involvements in a single Premier League campaign’.
2 – Bukayo Saka (23) and Gabriel Martinelli (20) are only the second pair of teammates aged 21 and under to both record 20+ goal involvements in a single Premier League campaign, after Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in 2006-07 for Manchester United. Starboys. pic.twitter.com/Duj9WPLLl4

Not only that, but Martinelli has joined Liverpool star Roberto Firmino as the only Brazilian to net 15 or more Premier League goals in a single season.
Only two Brazilians have scored 15+ Premier League goals in a single season:
