Manchester United had a fairly active summer transfer window that saw them sign five players.
At the back the Red Devils brought in Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia, whilst Christian Eriksen and Casemiro have bolstered what was a very weak midfield.
Further forward, meanwhile, Erik ten Hag sought the services of former player Antony, who has signed from Ajax for a mammoth fee.
All told it was a fairly decent window from Manchester United. They finally signed a defensive midfielder, improved their defence and added some much-needed depth on the flanks.
And now, Antony, who has been with or against most of the signings, has been speaking about United’s new crop of players.
When doing so, the Brazilian labelled them really good and backed them to help the Red Devils:
“I know them already, as a player,” he told United Review. Some of the players I played against – I played against Christian, against Casemiro as well, with Ajax. Licha [Lisandro], I played together with him.
“So I know what they are capable of and they are really good players, so they will help us for sure. They are nice people, but they are also team players. I think this is important, to work hard together. As people, they fit very well with the players we have.”
