An insight into the bombshell news regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Manchester United has, on Thursday night, been provided online.
The name of iconic attacker Ronaldo has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines once more over the last 24 hours.
This came first owing to the Portuguese’s behaviour on Wednesday.
United were back in action last night, welcoming Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford to eventually emerge on the right side of an impressive 2-0 triumph.
Ronaldo, however, watched on from the bench across the 90 minutes, before making his frustrations clear in making his way down the tunnel prior to the sounding of the full-time whistle.
Erik ten Hag confirmed post-match that he would deal with the situation post-match, with an ensuing statement late this evening having made official the decided course of action on the red half of Manchester.
“Cristiano will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture.”

And a series of further details have since emerged, too.
As per the reliable Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, the decision to drop Ronaldo came directly from head coach Ten Hag. The Dutchman, in turn, has been fully backed by the powers that be at the club.
The 37-year-old is understood to have made a swift departure from Old Trafford after leaving the bench, opting not to stick around for his side’s celebrations.
Not only that, but he was actually asked to take to the pitch late in the fray against Spurs, only to reject his boss’ request.
Significantly, though, it is also indicated that Ronaldo ‘is still considered to be an important part of their squad’.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner will now spend an unspecified length of time training away from the rest of Erik ten Hag’s first-team squad.
