A series of remarkable statistics surrounding the scintillating start to life being enjoyed by Erling Haaland on the books of Manchester City have come to the fore on Wednesday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s troops, of course, are currently locked in action.

Hopeful of putting further pressure on Arsenal atop the Premier League table, the Sky Blues have welcomed Nottingham Forest to the Etihad, eyeing a 4th win from five to open the campaign.

And, as things stand in Manchester, this is precisely what the evening’s hosts are headed towards.

With 45 minutes on the clock, City lead their newly-promoted opponents by three goals to nil, owing to a first-half hat-trick on the part of that man Haaland.

After opening his account with a typically clinical finish at the near post inside the 15-minute mark, the Norwegian sensation helped himself to a 2nd ten minutes later, from close range:

His latest haul, which could well yet increase further before the night is out, of course means that Man City’s big-money summer signing has now notched hat-tricks in back-to-back appearances.

Not only that, but he has taken his tally in the Premier League to an eye-watering 9 (yes, NINE) goals, before the month of August is out.

In turn, it shouldn’t come as a major surprise to hear of Haaland’s efforts on Wednesday giving rise to a series of head-turning statistics, not least of all the fact that he has now notched more goals in the month of August than Tottenham talisman Harry Kane has managed in the same month across the entirety of his Premier League career.

Not only that, but the 22-year-old has too surpassed Romelu Lukaku’s league haul for the entirety of last season, in just five appearances.
