The Arsenal faithful have taken to social media in their numbers on Friday evening, to make their frustrations with two members of Mikel Arteta’s squad known.
Arteta’s troops, of course, are currently locked in action.
In a highly-anticipated showdown between English football’s two standout sides across the season to date, Arsenal have made the trip to the Etihad, for an FA Cup 4th round showdown with Manchester City.
As things stand with 45 minutes on the clock in Manchester, the two sides remain locked at 0-0, amid a hotly contested clash.
It has been the evening’s visitors, though, who have enjoyed much the better of things.
All of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah have come close for Arsenal, who – despite a host of changes – continue to prove themselves more than a match for the Premier League champions.
Leandro Trossard is looking lively ⚡️

The players in question? Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney.
Amid suggestions that the defensive pair look a clear level below the rest of Arteta’s squad, Arsenal’s supporters have flooded to Twitter, to make their voices heard:
Tierney and Holding, lord have mercy

Holding and Tierney will lose us this game if they aren’t subbed

Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding look like they’re a step below the other players on the pitch when it comes to technical ability

If we want to win, please take off Holding (especially) and Tierney. Massive rocks in our cogs.

Brother Tierney I cannot keep defending you… and watching Holding is making my eyes burn

If we get into the 2nd half 0-0 that would be excellent. Ship Tierney and Holding to Everton.

Holding and Tierney leave my club

Holding & Tierney have no business being in Arsenal at this time. The team has gone beyond their technical level.
