LIVE – Liverpool v Brighton: Commentary, updates, goals and stats

Brighton & Hove Albion will look to maintain their excellent form when they visit Liverpool on Sunday.

The Seagulls have won their last four league games without conceding, rising to third.

Liverpool’s league form at Anfield has been a real problem, lasting winning a home league game on April 25.

The good news for Andoni Iraola is that his side are building momentum, winning three straight matches in all competitions since a 3-0 home defeat to Manchester City on October 11.

The Reds thrahsed LASK 6-3 away, came from behind to beat Brentford 2-1 on the road and then edged a seven-goal thriller against Villarreal at Anfield on Tuesday.

That means Liverpool have avoided defeat in 12 of their last 13 games in all competitions, although the game against Villarreal did expose some defensive issues and Iraola knows his side will need to be much tighter against Brighton.

Footballer Matt O'Riley smiles and raises his arms to perform a high five with teammate Younes Ibrahim while playing for Premier League team Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club with Sweden player Yasin Ayari and Ivory Coast player Malick Yalcouye nearby. The players are wearing blue shirts with thin white stripes and white shorts with their numbers in white on the shorts and back of the shirts, which also have their names. O'Riley is the number 33, Yalcouye 35 and Ayari 26. A goal net is in the foreground.
