There were seven goals in total as Bournemouth hosted Nottingham Forest and Burnley travelled to Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.
Bournemouth had been unbeaten in seven league games, while Forest had lost six of their previous eight league matches this season but were buoyed by a 2-0 home win over Porto in the Europa League in their first match under Sean Dyche on Thursday.
Bottom side Wolves were the only side not to have won in the top flight and faced a Burnley side seeking to distance themselves from the relegation zone following a 2-0 home win over Leeds on October 18.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest: Cherries go second
Bournemouth will finish the weekend second only to Arsenal and four points behind the leaders, taking the lead against Forest direct from Marcus Tavernier’s 25th-minute corner at the Vitality Stadium.
Forest felt the hosts should not have been awarded a corner but Eli Junior Kroupi’s fourth goal in three Bournemouth appearances was less contentious five minutes before half-time, striking from 30 yards in the 2-0 win.

“I don’t think I’ve ever scored from a corner before,” midfielder Tavernier told BBC Match of the Day. “I’m not going to say I meant it.
“We’ve been focusing more on set plays because they’re such an important part of the game nowadays, but normally it’s just about aiming for an area [in the penalty box]. I’ll admit that wasn’t the area I was aiming for.”
“We’re not [second] by luck – it’s not been given to us. We’ve worked hard and got the results we wanted.
“We can enjoy this moment now, but we need to keep working hard to end up where we want to at the end of the season.”
Defeat in Dyche’s first league game means the former Everton manager’s new club are three points from safety with a significant goal inferiority.
“It’s tough because we’ve only got so many working days,” Dyche told Sky Sports, referencing Forest’s European schedule.
“It’s really hard for us coaches when the [assistant referee] gives the goal kick and the referee can’t see it but overrules them.
“That’s really tough for me to take. Then I get booked over things like that and you go ‘come on, now – it can’t be me getting booked, sometimes you’ve got to hold your hands up.
“I’m not blaming the performance off that. We were miles off in the first half. [Bournemouth] were the better side overall.
“I’m a big fan of VAR but it’s got to step in because [the corner] goes straight in the goal. For me, that’s not good enough when it’s clearly a goal kick.”

Wolves vs Burnley: Foster goal clinches Clarets win
Lyle Foster clipped in the 95th-minute winner with a first-time finish inside the box to lift Burnley to within three points of the top 10 with a 3-2 victory at Molineux.
Zian Flemming produced a superb volley and slotted in to put the visitors 2-0 ahead after 30 minutes, but Jorgen Strand Larsen’s 42nd-minute penalty and Marshall Munetsi’s header during first-half added time had drawn Wolves level.
Sections of the home fans chanted against manager Vitor Pereira, whose team are winless in nine games and six points from safety with two points, at full time.
“Months ago, they sang my name… I understand it is football,” Pereira told the broadcaster, calling the result “very unfair”.
“If we win two or three games in a row, everything will change. Three points would be very important for us to give confidence.

“[The reaction is] normal, with the frustration of the result in the last minute. [Fans] are frustrated. In my opinion, the team deserve the support because the players gave everything on the pitch.
“They must feel proud about the work of the players, but we understand that another defeat is difficult to balance.”
Burnley counterpart Scott Parker described himself as “ecstatic”. “A bit of quality gets us the winner,” Parker reflected.
“An incredible finish from Lyle and the assist from Hannibal – the weight of the pass and detail.

“Back-to-back wins is pretty massive for us and our first away win [this season]. It’s something we need to build on and will bring confidence to such a young team.
“We have been hugely competitive this year. We scored in the dying seconds today; in other games, we have conceded in the dying seconds.
“We probably earned the right to get that today. I am immensely proud of this group. They have got something about them.”
"I understand the frustrations of the supporters"
