Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha has returned to training ahead of Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.
Cunha missed United’s 2-1 win over Brentford on Monday because of a hip flexor issue.
But he was back in group training on Thursday as United prepare to welcome Arne Slot’s men to Old Trafford in a key clash in the race for Champions League football.
United and Liverpool are both in prime position to qualify for the Champions League. The Red Devils are third in the Premier League, 11 points clear of sixth-placed Brighton and Hove Albion with four games to go, while Liverpool are three points behind Michael Carrick’s men.
The reverse fixture ended in a 2-1 win for United, who are seeking a first league double over Liverpool since 2015-16.
Cunha has scored eight goals and provided two assists since joining from Wolves, his last strike coming in the 1-0 win over Chelsea earlier this month.
