Wolves claimed a memorable 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, condemning the Red Devils’ poor run in the Premier League for another week.
In a match largely devoid of clear-cut chances, it was the visitors who provided the big moment with less than 15 minutes to play.
Pablo Sarabia, having only just been introduced from the bench, stepped up to curl a sublime free-kick into the top-right corner past a rooted Andre Onana in the 77th minute.
It was the Spaniard’s third league goal of the season and one that sealed three vital points for the Midlands side.
United had dominated possession but struggled to break down Wolves across the afternoon.
Their best chances came through Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes late in the second half. Mount missed two gilt-edged opportunities – first volleying wide under pressure, then firing over the bar from close range after a clever cut-back from Garnacho.

Bruno Fernandes also spurned a key chance when he dragged his shot wide following neat build-up play involving Garnacho and Mount.
Earlier in the game, Kobbie Mainoo had curled an effort just wide, while Christian Eriksen forced a smart save from Wolves keeper Daniel Bentley with a dipping free-kick.
Wolves, though mostly on the back foot, showed composure and waited for their opportunity to strike.
That moment came when Eriksen pulled down Matheus Cunha just outside the box, setting the stage for Sarabia’s match-winning effort.
Erik ten Hag’s side threw everything forward in stoppage time, earning a flurry of corners and set pieces, but failed to seriously trouble Bentley in goal.
Garnacho’s appeals for a penalty in the dying seconds were waved away as Wolves held on for their first league win at Old Trafford since 2022.
The result moves Wolves level on points with United, who were booed off by frustrated fans at full-time.
