Ryan Cherki scores against Manchester United.

Rayan Cherki appears to be nearing the end of his time at Lyon, with the young midfielder hinting at a summer exit following Lyon’s 2-0 win over Angers on Saturday night.

Speaking in the mixed zone after the match, the 21-year-old suggested his departure from the club is imminent.

Cherki was visibly emotional at full-time, a sign that this may have been his farewell outing for the club, where he developed through the youth ranks.

He said: “I’m ready to try a new chapter in my career. Thanks to OL, the coach, the staff, the president, my teammates and all people at the club”.

Cherki is understood to have a gentleman’s agreement with Lyon, allowing him to leave during the upcoming transfer window.

Any club that meets the €22.5 million valuation will be permitted to sign the France U21 international.

According to Le Parisien, Premier League sides Liverpool, Manchester City, and Tottenham have all expressed interest in securing his services.

This season has marked a breakthrough for Cherki, who has delivered several standout performances for Lyon.

He finished the Ligue 1 campaign as the league’s top assist provider, with 11 to his name. On the European stage, he set a new benchmark for the most assists in a single Europa League season.

Given his creative output and growing reputation, Cherki’s potential departure is expected to draw strong attention from top clubs across Europe.
