Kylian Mbappe has been included in Real Madrid’s squad for their Champions League last-16 second leg with Atletico Madrid.
Los Blancos’ superstar forward had been considered a doubt for the clash at the Metropolitano having suffered a knock to his right ankle in Madrid’s LaLiga win over Rayo Vallecano last weekend.
Reports said Mbappe was facing tests to prove his fitness despite the France international taking part in training on Tuesday.
But Mbappe does feature in Madrid’s 23-man squad as Carlo Ancelotti’s men seek to take the next step towards a 16th European title, and a third in four seasons.

Brimming with options in their forward line, Madrid, seeking to turn a 2-1 first-leg advantage into victory in the tie, could yet opt to leave Mbappe on the bench.
Mbappe’s opening strike against Rayo was his first goal in four games, though that underwhelming run was preceded by a decisive hat-trick in the second leg of Madrid’s playoff round win over Manchester City.
Should Madrid progress to the last eight, they will almost certainly face Arsenal. The Gunners hold a 7-1 lead over PSV Eindhoven from the first leg of their last-16 tie.
But, even with Mbappe, Madrid can take nothing for granted, having failed to win any of their last three meetings with Atletico at the Metropolitano in all competitions.
