Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, on Thursday evening, etched his name into the history books of the club not once, but twice.
Erik ten Hag’s troops, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.
Fresh off a disappointing goalless stalemate with Southampton at the weekend, the Red Devils turned their attentions back towards matters on the continent, in the 2nd-leg of the club’s Europa League Last-16 showdown with La Liga outfit Real Betis.
United, for their part, headed into proceedings with one foot already firmly in the quarter-finals, owing to a 4-1 victory in the tie’s first-leg at Old Trafford last week.
And, when all was said and done at the Benito Villamarin, once more, the English heavyweights, once more, proved too much for hosts Betis.
The aforementioned Marcus Rashford proved himself the difference-maker on the night, notching what ultimately proved to be the game’s winner ten minutes into the 2nd-half:
What. A. Hit!!
