A head-turning statistic surrounding the production of Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, when compared to that of Manchester United counterpart Antony, has come to the fore late on Saturday evening.
The name of Hale End product Nelson, of course, took its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of north London earlier today.
This came owing to his late-game heroics, during Arsenal’s Premier League meeting with Bournemouth.
After Mikel Arteta’s troops recovered from two goals down courtesy of strikes on the part of Thomas Partey and Ben White, Nelson produced what could prove to be a defining moment in the Gunners’ pursuit of glory.
With a full 97 minutes on the clock, the talented 23-year-old picked up the ball on the edge of the Bournemouth penalty area, before driving a wonderful left-footed effort into the far top corner:

Nelson’s goal came as the standout moment in a fine cameo off the bench, which also saw him tee up Ben White’s 2nd-half equaliser.
And this stat has since given rise to another in quick succession, comparing the production of the Arsenal academy product to that of big-money Manchester United star Antony.
As per statisticians WhoScored, Nelson has contributed to two more league goals than Antony thus far this term, in less than a tenth of the time spent on the pitch:
