The player in question is Ben Johnson.

According to the Express, Arsenal have now set their sights on their full-back, Ben Johnson, as Mikel Arteta continues to strengthen his squad.

He was previously linked with a move to Everton but Arsenal have now joining the race to sign him

The versatile defender is primarily a right-back but can also play as a centre-back and left-back if required, which, on top of being a home-grown player, would make him a solid addition to Arsenal’s squad – which currently lacks a lot of depth.

No potential transfer fee is mentioned in the report but as he is a second-choice right-back at West Ham, he is unlikely to demand too high a fee – even if you factor in the English tax.

Johnson is a product of West Ham’s academy and has made a total of 87 appearances for the Hammers’ senior side, scoring two and assisting one in said games.
