Liverpool’s inconsistent form continued at the weekend with a 0-0 draw at home to winless Fulham in the Premier League.
The Reds play another struggling London team on Tuesday when Tottenham visit Anfield in the third round of the EFL Cup.
Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola will be expecting a much-improved display even though several changes are expected, overseeing a side who have reached the final in three of the last five years, triumphing in 2022 and 2024.
Spurs remain without a goal or win from their four Premier League games and boss Roberto De Zerbi continues to struggle to get a tune from his expensively assembled team.
