Al Nassr will aim to keep pace at the top of the Saudi Pro League when they visit struggling Al Khaleej.
Ange Postecoglou’s men bounced back from their defeat to Al Ittihad with a 2-1 win over Abha last time out, Cristiano Ronaldo on target for his third goal of the campaign.
But that was an unconvincing scoreline against a side bottom of the table, and they will hope for a better showing against another team yet to record a win.
With Al Qadsiah and Al Ittihad both in action on Friday and Al Hilal kicking off before them on Saturday, Al Nassr could start the game three points behind at least one of those rivals.
They will be confident of bridging any such gap against an Al Khaleej side that has drawn four and lost two of their opening six games.
Three of those four draws have been goalless, with Al Khaleej finding the net just twice in the league.
But, speaking after the win over Abha, Postecoglou made it clear Al Nassr must improve.
“The most important thing is that we won,” Postecoglou told reporters. “The last match was disappointing, even though our performance was good at the end.
“Today you saw that we controlled the game and created chances, but there are still some details that need improvement.”
Still, having not lost to Al Khaleej in a decade, Al Nassr may not need to make huge strides to record their sixth league win of the campaign.

Al Khaleej have no injury worries to contend with, while Al-Nassr remain without Kingsley Coman due to a hamstring injury. Joao Felix is set to return from suspension.
