Bournemouth put in a superb first-half showing to lead Newcastle 2-1 at the break of the early Premier League game.
The Cherries were relentless in their pressing and attacking and fired into a 2-0 lead through Marcus Tavernier and a Malick Thiaw own goal.
Newcastle looked shocked but Harvey Barnes gave them some hope before half time with a fantastic curler.
The visitors went ahead when Rayan made a run and cross down the left. When Alex Scott’s shot on the egde of the box was blocked, the ball span kindly into the path of Tavernier to bury from close rnage.
Justin Kluivert had a shot well charged down as Scott ran the show.
Another rapid attack came from Scott winning the ball back. Kluivert hit the post with a stunning long range strike and when Scott retrieved the ball to fire it across goal it struck Thiaw and looped in.
The home crowd were incensed but Barnes then instantly reduced the deficit with a cracking curling shot after cutting in from the left.
