Centre-back Maguire, who was left out of England’s World Cup 2026 squad this summer, powered in to give Michael Carrick’s side a flying start in their final warm-up game for the 2026/27 season.

United’s restored captain continued where he left off with the delivery for Maguire, although Red Devils fans might recognise the generous defending that allowed the 33-year-old ample space.
The Rossoneri are managed by Carrick’s predecessor, Ruben Amorim, who left Old Trafford in January after 14 months in charge.
