Reigning Premier League champions Arsenal have unveiled their new Adidas third shirt as part of the club’s kit for the 2026/27 season.

The release, which was announced in August, means the Gunners will play in yellow for the first time in five seasons, with forward Kai Havertz offering his seal of approval while calling the kit “very cool”.

An accompanying film features stars including model and actress Adwoa Aboah and players Noni Madueke, Steph Catley and Martin Zubimendi.

Eberechi Eze, Alessia Russo, Gabriel Martinelli, Olivia Smith, Piero Hincapie and Chloe Kelly are among the figures to have played a key role in the launch.

The kit is inspired by the club’s ‘Arsenal State of Mind’ slogan, which aims to combine “creativity, joy and belonging” with landmarks, familiar faces and memorable moments from club history.

An updated version of the club’s lightning graphic is part of the fabric, described as a “contemporary expression of a symbol that has long been woven into Arsenal’s story”.

“The idea was that when you face adversity, it’s a way of always seeing the positive side in every situation, to overcome it with a fun twist,” said filmmaker Fx Goby, describing the concept of the slogan to Arsenal’s official channels.

“[Arsenal] wanted to build a film together; a little story where we could see several situations where you face an obstacle and then instead of choosing to be angry or mad, you just try to make something positive out of it.

“That’s what guided the whole process for the story we wrote together.”

How to buy Arsenal 26/27 third kit

The kit is available from Arsenal’s online shop. “She’s amazing,” Goby said of Aboah, who has appeared on the cover of British Vogue.

“I knew her and, when we started putting some names down and thinking ‘okay, who could be the perfect person for this project?’, she came first very, very quickly for many reasons.

“She’s an Arsenal fan, so that was important. She’s beautiful but she’s also a great actress and she’s got a very iconic face.

“It was important that we could translate that face into animation and we could recognise her instantly. It was perfect because she embodied everything that we needed for this project.”

Accompanying socks cost between £16 and £20. A range of other clothing and items in the third-kit colours are available, including bags and footballs.

Goby called Arsenal’s players “really cool” during their modelling duties. “It was a big day and they had a lot of shoots that day,” he revealed.

“They were just super sweet, super loving, very pro, very kind. Martin [Odegaard] is a little bit shy, so he spoke in Spanish to me, and then everybody was like ‘oh, Martin speaks Spanish?’

“[They are] very, very lovely people – really super sweet. It was funny because I don’t know all the players very well, so I’m not as starstruck as other people in the team.”
