Manchester City are set to complete a £130million move for Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Elliot Anderson, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer guru says a deal for the 23-year-old to move to the Etihad has now been completed.
Anderson joined Forest for £35m in 2024, making 92 appearances and scoring nine goals. He has started both of England’s games at the 2026 World Cup so far.
Forest finally accepted the package after turning down Manchester City’s opening two bids, having held firm on their steep valuation of Anderson. The final fee is reportedly set to eventually surpass the £125m record Liverpool spent to pry striker Alexander Isak away from Newcastle last summer.
For now, Anderson’s focus remains on international duty as he prepares for England’s final Group L World Cup clash against Panama this Saturday (22:00 BST). Speaking to BBC Sport this week, he insisted his club future has been firmly put on the back burner.
“It’s pretty easy really, I’m just focusing on the present, I’m blocking it all out,” Anderson said. “I’ve got a plan and it’s to perform for England. I’m putting myself in the best position to cross the line and do that.”
