Brentford v Man City: Erling Haaland scores again as Rodri hobbles off with another injury
It has been a mixed start to the afternoon in West London for the Manchester club.
Erling Haaland has continued his fine form in the Premier League this season by putting Manchester City ahead against Brentford.
Pep Guardiola’s side came out of the blocks flying, scoring inside 10 minutes thanks to a battling piece of work from the Norwegian inside the Bees box.
He stormed inside, held off a barrage of Brentford players trying to close him down before smashing home to take his tally to nine goals in seven matches.
Concern for Rodri
Although City got off to a good start, it has not been a completely straightforward afternoon.
Rodri hit the deck inside 25 minutes, with a pained look of frustration on his face.
The Spaniard has recently recovered from an ACL injury, but has been struggling to stay fit on his return to the first team.
Unfortunately, he had to leave the field with a limp, before being replaced by Nico Gonzalez.
The moment comes after the Ballon d’Or winner was linked with a £130million move to Real Madrid this week, although that move looks less and less likely with every niggling problem.
