Sunderland are seeking their second Premier League home win of the 2025/26 season when Brentford visit the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

The promoted Black Cats beat West Ham 3-0 at home on their return to the division, although they have since lost 2-0 at Burnley.

Brentford lost 3-1 at Nottingham Forest on the opening day but new boss Keith Andrews has subsequently secured his first two wins as a manager, 1-0 at home to Aston Villa in the league and 2-0 at Bournemouth in the EFL Cup second round.

Former Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson starts for the visitors as part of an unchanged Bees starting line-up from their win over Villa, in which new signing Dango Ouattara scored.

Centre-back Ethan Pinnock replaces midfielder Myles Peart-Harris on the bench in the only amendment to Andrews’ matchday squad.
