‘No words to describe this feeling’ – Roony Bardghji sends message after Barcelona move completed

Roony Bardghji is relishing “an unforgettable season” with Barcelona after completing his move to the Blaugrana.

The 19-year-old winger officially joined Barca on a four-year contract from Copenhagen on Monday.

Bardghji’s 2024-25 season was largely wiped out by a serious knee injury suffered in May 2024.

He scored 10 goals in all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, including the winner in a 4-3 Champions League triumph over Manchester United.

With Barca captain Raphinha and teenage sensation Lamine Yamal ahead of him in the pecking order, Bardghji may have to be patient in waiting for opportunities to make an impression for the reigning LaLiga champions.

But, in a message posted on Instagram, Bardghji wrote of his excitement after a transfer that left him struggling for words.

“Hola Culers,” Bardghji wrote. “There are no words to describe this feeling.

“Looking forward to having an unforgettable season together. Long live Barca.”

Bardghji is Barca’s second signing of the transfer window, following goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who signed from their city rivals Espanyol.

Barca had hoped to sign Spain winger Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao. However, after a contentious transfer saga that saw Athletic question Barca’s financial ability to pay Williams’ release clause, he ultimately signed a new 10-year deal to remain at San Mames.
