Wydad Casablanca 1-2 Al Ain: Kaku settles Group G finale

Al Ain came from behind to end their Club World Cup campaign on a high with a 2-1 win over Wydad Casablanca.

With both sides having unsurprisingly suffered defeats to both Manchester City and Juventus, they were each playing for pride in the Group G clash in Washington, D.C.

It was Wydad who took the lead in the fourth minute when Cassius Mailula found the net with a powerful near-post finish.

However, Kodjo Laba levelled from the penalty spot in the first-half stoppage time and, five minutes into the second half, Al Ain completed the turnaround.

Kaku scored what proved to be the winner, curling into the top-left corner from just inside the box after Wydad failed to clear their lines following an attack down the left.
