Points will be accrued based on team and player performance - you can read how the scoring matrix works here - and you will accumulate a points total week on week, so one missed week could cost you dearly.

How to select a Sorare Amateur side

Your squad will be made up of eight players (two goalkeepers, two defenders, two midfielders and two forwards), with a total of 400 points available as your budget.

Each player’s form and recent performance will dictate their price (in points), so you need to be careful about who you prioritise in your side. As with Fantasy Premier League, it is worth splashing out on the reliable performers for a higher price which means you may have to go for some cheaper options elsewhere.

Crucially, you only need to pick a team of five - one goalkeeper, one defender, one midfielder, one forward and another outfield player - to enter into each gameweek, so it makes sense to have a couple of the cheapest options available to pad out your squad.

Points are accrued based on performance, so make sure you get the best passers, goalscorers, defenders or whatever in your side.

You will get the chance to redraft each gameweek, but players will gain XP each week you play them so try and think long-term in your selections.
