‘You traded in a Rolex for a Casio” Shakira slams Gerard Pique in disstrack after messy split

The pair have split after the Barcelona star reportedly cheated on the musician

Music star Shakira has released a disstrack aimed at former lover Gerard Pique, slamming the Barcelona star for ‘trading in a Rolex for a Casio’ and claiming that the Barca star left her in debt next door to her new in-laws.

The pair had been dating since 2011, and had two children together, when they suddenly announced that they would be going their seperate ways in September 2022.

“We regret to confirm that we are separating,” they said in a joint statement released by Shakira’s PR team.

It was later reported in Spain that the Barcelona star had cheated on her during the relationship, and he was later spotted with 23-year-old student Clara Chia Marti, who is also referenced by the Colombian singer.

And in a session with Argentinian DJ Bizzarap, she released a song in which centred around the problems between the pair, not least at the apparent down-grade that the 35-year-old had made.

“I’m worth two of 22 [year old]”, “You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo”, “You traded a Rolex for a Casio” were all lines featured by the 45-year-old, while she also added “I’m too good for you and that’s why you’re with someone just like you”.

Shakira, who has custody of both of the couple’s sons, went on to claim that the star left her with nothing but debt from the relationship, before aiming a dig at his new lover Clara, explaining that “she has the name of a good person, It’s clearly not what it sounds like” [Clara means clear in Spanish].

Pique appears to have fuelled the fire further on social media, tweeting various emojis from a circus to describe his previous relationship in response to the first part of the song having been leaked.
