Liverpool headed into the game having endured a mixed start to the season so far and sat 9th in the Premier League with two wins, four draws and one loss.
Their last league outing saw them scrape a 3-3 draw with Brighton, before beating Rangers 2-0 in the Champions League.
Arsenal, on the other hand, were top of the Premier League with seven wins and one loss before gameweek 10, but dropped down to second on Saturday after Manchester City beat Southampton 4-0.
The Gunners have scored 20 and conceded eight, which is not too far off Liverpool’s 18 goals scored and nine conceded.
And now, at the time of writing, it is Arsenal who are in the lead.
The Gunners took less than a minute to open the scoring on the day. Bukayo Saka was not closed down by Virgil van Dijk. He then slipped in Martin Odegaard who sent Gabriel Martinelli through on goal to score.
Van Dijk needs sometime on the bench he’s worse than Trent

Everyone’s laughing at Trent fair enough but Van dijk was worse in that goal. The guy does not defend 😭

Omo Trent may miss the World Cup at this rate o. But that goal is on Van Dijk for not closing Saka down.

Trent and Van Dijk must be playing on sleeping pills this season #ARSLIV

Trent is gonna get the brunt for that goal but Van Dijk was 5 yards deeper than his whole defensive line. A truly great bit of defending all round #ARSLIV
