Wolves star takes to social media to confirm injury before Watford

 

Wolverhampton Wanderers star Hwang Hee-chan has taken to social media to confirm that, as expected, he has picked up an injury problem.

Hwang’s hamstring woes

Fears surrounding South Korean international Hwang began to spread last week.

This came after the 25-year-old was forced to limp out of his side’s Premier League meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion.

After attempting to run off what appeared to be a hamstring issue inside the opening quarter of an hour at the Amex, Hwang was eventually left with little choice but to make way, replaced by Adama Traore.

The striker, on loan at Molineux from RB Leipzig, was therefore unsurprisingly not involved when Wolves played host to Chelsea this past Saturday.

When drawn on the situation over the weekend, however, boss Bruno Lage was keen to give as little away as possible when it came to Hwang’s wellbeing.

In turn, it had since remained altogether unclear whether or not the 43-time capped international faces an extended spell on the sidelines.

‘Back stronger’

But, as alluded to above, if the latest social media activity on the part of the South Korean himself is anything to go by, then an impending absence looks highly likely.

Taking to Instagram early this morning, Hwang posted a photo of himself on the treatment table, with both legs strapped up.

More significant, though, was the accompanying caption, reading:

‘I‘ll be back stronger’
